Je viens de relire et je me rends compte qu'en écrivant j'ai oublié des mots et que je mexprime comme une andouillette!pfffffffffff la fatigue!!

This text also puts the stress on the fact that teachers think they have a sketchy knowledge of languages...they can be afraid...but she adds that a teacher hasn't to be a linguist to teach it.

Mais ta phrase est encore mieux :) comment dire "je suis dans le ca.. pour mardi"

In France a foreign language will be studied in CE1 which means at about seven or eight years old...the governement tries to make things elvolve by teaching foreign languages earlier and earlier...it's a good thing to learn languages in primary school...

J'essaie d'élargir mais j'ai du mal...

We know that younger children have a better ability for learning languages... but the fact is that here, on that particular program, the government is not aiming at learning them languages at a earlier age but they try to give them a wider choice... So, what is the part of learning here?

Besides, we can wonder whether teacher who is not an expert in foreign language can give his pupils the curiosity to learn a language that he/she himself/herself doesn't know! Is it really serious? What about a child who really want to learn a specific language? Does he have he possibility to do so? and will he have to go through all those different experimentations before learning the language he has chosen before?

As far as I'm concerned (c'est une tournure que j'utilisais beaucoup au lycée!!), I think that it is good to give pupils a wider choice... but I find it very odd to learn them languages (6!) that I do not even know... techer will just be there to explain cultural things and not specific informations on the language itself. Well.... I'm not sure it is good if pupils cannot learn a specific language at an age where they are very curious and eager to learn... for the first foreign language at least.
