vinette4073 Posté(e) 1 juin 2009 Posté(e) 1 juin 2009 this document is a text, extracted from a very famous novel, wich is entitled "Alice's adventures en Wonderland". It was published on the nineteenth century, and more espacially on July the fourth in eighteensixty five. The author is a woman, who's name is Lewis Caroll. I didn't red this book, but i saw it on television when I was younger. It is the story of a young child, Alice, who dream a lot. In the novel, we travel in her mind, and in her dreams. I would like to sum up this extract, then i'd like to talk about alice's adventures, and finally, i'll talk about books and school. I/ first, i have to sum up the text: In this part of the novel, three characters are presented: Alice, the hero, her sister, and the rabbit, who is in Alice's mind and dream. first, Alice thinks about the use of a book, the utility of it. She thinks it's not interesting if there is no pictures or dialogues. she thinks about it because she is in front of her sister's book, wich is a big book, without pictures or conversations. So it must be a book with many descriptions. Alice considers it's a boring book. then she begin to dream: lectors enter in alice's mind and in her dreams. she is thinking about a rabbit. We have got a descrition of this rabbit: he is white with pink eyes. the author knows everything is happening in Alice's head or in her brain. In the second part, I would like to talk about alice's adventures. This books deals with a young girl's dream. The hero is a young girl, with blond hair, blue eyes, very beautiful little girl. She's always dreaming. She creates her world, in an other country, where all animals are like human beings. The rabbit has got a watch, and he feels always late; it's a stress 'character: so he uses to say: (I quote) oh dear oh dear! I shall to be late!" (I unquote) in the last part, i'd like to talk about books and school, because when i become a teacher in a primary school, i'll read many books to my pupils. For example, the Alice's story can be considered as a universal story: every child dream a lot, invent stories. It's important to read to them this kind of story, because it developps their imagination. With this kind of story, they can travell... it can help children to grow up. Reading help pupils to live other lifes. It helps them to developp their imagination, and also their memory. Personnally i think teachers must read many books to their pupils. To my mind, the story of Alice is interesting because every child create story in their mind. Morever, it's important for children to understand it's important to read. On an other side, in their house, all children havn't got any books, so school is a way to help every child to read. i'm finished!!! you can correct my mistakes please? have a nice day!
