scarlitoune Posté(e) 7 mai 2005 Posté(e) 7 mai 2005 ah zorro dear dear zorro Now if you start talking about MY COLIN!!! (Colin Firth of course. What do you mean not everyone knows who HE is? Impossible!) we are going to be good friends I absolutely adoooooooooooooooooooore this guy. Of course I started to fall in love with him when I saw "pride and prejudice" but ever since I have been watching other movies and I always find him very hot (indeed : ) My hubby is british as well but not half (a quater? a fifth? a tenth??) as sexy as him! Oh well, back to songs for kids! (I am a kid myself even though I just turned 40 2 weeks ago!). Thanks for the sites you mentionned. I am going to go and learn some songs. I did used to know some before so I think it should come back to me quickly but I just haven't had time to practice. lots of smiles to you all scarlitoune

I know a fruit that's good to eat and apple is it's name, oh crunch-P-P-L-E, crunch-P-P-L-E, crunch-P-P-L-E And apple is it's name oh. I know a fruit that's good to eat and apple is it's name, oh crunch-crunch-P-L-E, crunch-crunch-P-L-E, crunch-crunch-P-L-E And apple is it's name oh. and so on until all crunches! :P And there was another song about an elephant, but I can't remember the lyrics. It said something like : "Strange elephant, that has no toes but a big nose..." Do you know it ?
nanouchkas Posté(e) 12 mai 2005 Posté(e) 12 mai 2005 hi ! i don't take the english exam, but i'm here to give you some work to do!!! :P i wonder if you can help me to translate a song (which i chose for the music examination) it's a nursery rhyme : "this old man" i give you the beginning : "This old man, he played one, He played knick knack on my thumb, With a knick knack, paddy whack, Give a dog a bone; This old man came rolling home. " i don't understand "knick knack" (i think it's a sound like "clic-clac") and "paddy whack" (i think it maybe just a "word play" for the rhyme) thanks a lot bye
