But I am not totally confident in my answers.

I didn't know the verb 'to clamour' either thanks....

And I just want to say that for my part there is no problem on working on previous texts if you want..

You can say "to clamour for something or somebody" it means the same thing as "demand"

This text untitled "mental problems soar among children using canabis" is issued from times web site and has been written by two journalists. These journalists relate that since the relaxation of a law about legal status of canabis, the increase is number of peolple treated for addiction to the cannabis is significant.

This explosion is all the more worrying because it concerns as well adults as children. From April 2004 to septembre 2005 an increase of 42% in number of people treated for addiction is to be deplored.. In the mean time the number of children concerned rised from 136 to 181 in one year on a total of 1575 cannabis users treated by Addaction. (which is probably an association in charge of addiction problems)

The journalists relate that many experts accuses the law to be responsible for those new frightening figures.

Moreover a variant of cannabis has to be blamed : the skunk may be responsible for psychotic illness which can lead to schizophrenia.

These mental illness and psychotic episode are all the more threatening that government figure ecchos to Addiction figures : it deplores an increase from 580 hospital admisison on two years to 710 on the sole last year.

The journalists set up a comparaison with New Zeland and Dutch studies which both highlight deep impact of cannabis consumption on mental health of Youths.

The question for council of Misuse of drugs is now to find a solution but it not sure yet that this will include a reviewing the law soon. The solution can be a reclassification of Skunk in C drug. Indeed Addiction explains that 85% of treated young users are skunk users. Moreaover the high price of Skunk breeds crimes related to junkies.
