Hello,

As agreed last wednesday evening, I put 5 sentences in french and you can try to translate them in english. I give you the translation on friday, is it ok ?

Talk to you soon ! :)

i think apisdistra is a better than me .

i ask me some questions :

- must we say "we have been eating" or "we are eating since.."?

- must we say "badly"?

- how say "le plus mal"?

NB

Bigotna you're right, I made a mistake. It's of course :

Je la connaissais très bien mais losqu'elle est rentrée je ne l'ai pas reconnue

;)

- must we say "we have been eating" or "we are eating since.."?

It's better to use present perfect progressive:

Is used when a long action has started in the past and has just ended or is still happening. We express how long the action happened. The verbs have to express an action which can be happen a long time.
how say "le plus mal"?

le plus mal= le pire you must use a superlative: The worst

;) see you

I'll add my translation today

-I knew her very well; but when she came back, I didn't recognize her ( I couldn't put a name to her face) ....

I used to know her ( pour insister sur l'aspect révolu ...on ne la reconnait pas )

-We have been eating fish every day since ( last )Sunday ( Have Been -Ing of course !)

-If only she stopped playing that stupid music !

If only she could stop.../ If only she would stop...(selon l'aspect sur lequel on veut insister)

-We all speak bad English but you are the worst ! ( Our spoken English is bad , but yours is the worst )

dav

to help each other ( ourselves = nous même)

May I know what you are working on . ( PAS d'inversion : c'est du style indirect !)

I am proud of all of you . You are all doing very well .

Keep up the good work ! :)
