Don't hesitate to write all the time in English...even if you are not sure of the words , the grammar...etc

If you don't know a word, try to say it differently.

Mistakes are not so important . What matters is the fluency in which you'll be able to "speak" your ideas to the members of the board.

The more you practise, the better you'll get !

I know English is not the only subject you have to work on , but you must not forget to be regular in your English practice .

It's true that it's not easy to begin, I'll try for the 5th time so I 'm starting (?) to know the exam...

If you like I can help you. Tell me your options.

For English test you can: sum up the text, then give the author's point of view and yours. Or after the summary, you talk about how "I would organize my work in class".

The jury will ask you to read some lines aloud so you should practice your English accent (watch VOST movies, listen to the BBC...) then they will ask you questions about the subject and you'll have to talk with them.

So why don't you begin with the subject I've given: "Help your children learn the value of money", I will study it soon and we could send our preparation through mail.

WELL DONE ! Hardly any errors...and it is written in an easy and fluent manner. Good !

Now remember that you have to "speak" your commentary ( as well as read the text ) , so practise your reading aloud ...

I also think your text may be a bit short to last the time imparted ;

-you may have put the Tattoo in the context of Edinburgh International Festival .

-You may have developped on the Faklands War ( very impopular war / one of Maggie Thatcher's last deeds as prime Minister)

-you may have insisted a bit more on the SNP's victory thus taking a revenge on the English ( be sure to know the difference between UK /GB/England /Scotland etc...) and they plan to have an Independent Scotland.

Only ideas...

Perhaps sometimes we could chose an article which deals with current events by searching on BBC-site, or BBC learning-site or the guardian and so-on

I'm awfully sorry but I can't find the text we must work on, can someone give me this so that I can work and see if my work is ok

Here is my summary:

This article was written by Hap Le Crone for the Waco Tribun-Herald. It is entitled "Help your children learn the value of money".

Parents teach their children values such as honesty, respect or kindness, but forget a very useful value which is the value of money. It can be taught in early years. Parents who succeed in controlling their spendings teach their children easily. For instance, children learn "smart spendings" at home thanks to management skills like taking part in the family budget.

Allowances are based on age and abilities.

Moreover, children should know that their allowance or any other money they earn can be saved. In so doing, they learn "responsible savings".

Dealing with money so early gives them a sense of fiscal responsability.

Nowadays, young people use credit cards without being aware of the danger. When they learn early, they feel like controling their life. They can face financial problems when they occur by rebalancing their spendings.

Money is the link between motivation, achievement and quality of life.

In my opinion, nowadays, young people spend money without thinking about the days to come. They follow the society they live in that is to say a society of consumption. They are pushed to buy more and more. They are not taught in their early age the value of money. Their parents buy them whatever they want because they think they please them but they only help them become frustrated young adults.

They should make their children take part in the family's everyday economic life by working and earning their own money as early as possible.

Today, it is easy to earn money for a young people thanks to little jobs like babysitting, helping old people to go shopping, taking dogs for a walk...

Children should save this money and the money they get in different occasions (christmas, birthdays, gratifications, little compensation their parents give them for housecleaning...)

In 2005, a survey showed that girls save more than boys because they have a more realistic vision of family budget.

Boys are influenced by football stars' wages!

They have to know that money is the result of hard work or an effort. It is so hard to earn money but so easy to spend it!

For young people, money is the source of pleasure but adults consider it essentially as a mean to pay bills.

The value of money comes when expenses are limited by a good budget.
