En fait, la formulation "I have a dog" ou "Do you have...?" est plutôt américaine alors que  "I've got a dog" ou "Have you got..?" est plutôt britannique, avec la redondance des deux verbes have et got, mais le sens est identique....  petit à petit la version américaine gagne du terrain !

En British English, "I've got" est plus familier que "I have". Mais c'est une nuance sans importance pour nos élèves.

Vieille de 60 ans ayant fait anglais jusqu'en L3 ,à l'époque on apprenait l'anglais d'Oxford en collège et la suite et on disait que I have Je n'ai jamais appris I've got car familier
