Je suis passée ce matin sur le sujet "Madonna fins a cause". Le texte était assez facile à comprendre. J'ai tenu facilement les 5 minutes (6 minutes même). Ensuite, pour les questions, c'était un peu plus dur car j'étais stressée à mort.

Voilà le texte :

Malawi is a Pennsylvania-size country in southeast Africa that has four things in abundance that the West doesn't much covet: AIDS, malaria, drought and tobacco. On the plus side, it has a functioning democracy and no full-blown war. That may explain why, to date, Malawi has not attracted much attention from the rest of the world. But that's about to change. Malawi will soon be hit by a force that has thrown far more robust countries into chaos. Her name is Madonna.

And being Madonna, she's not going into Malawi quietly. She has already promised to raise at least $3 million to fund programs that would mostly help orphans there (another thing Malawi has in excess, thanks to AIDS). Ground will soon be broken on an orphan-care center, which aims initially to feed and educate at least 1,000 children a day. She's financing--to the tune of about $1 million--a documentary about the plight of Malawian children.

The whole enterprise has the pungent aroma of a coordinated act of publicity. But one of the partnerships she has formed is with developing-world economic guru Jeffrey Sachs (who suffers no dilettantes): an agreement to provide $1.5 million for one of his millennium villages. They want to end poverty in one community--in this case the village of Gumulira, outside the capital Lilongwe--by simultaneously improving the health, agricultural productivity and education of its people.

There is also a feeling of fatigue--among people who pay any attention at all to celebrities, with stars who try to turn fascination with them into fascination with those who need help. But Sachs, who will accompany her to Malawi in October, is not among the cynics. "Of course there are people who on a fling say something, but that's not what Madonna's doing," he says. "In the very noisy and complicated world that we have, people that reach large numbers of people, like Madonna does, have an extraordinarily important role to play. When they're devoting their time, their money, their name, a lot of effort, a lot of organization skill to all of this, it makes a huge difference. The cynics are just wrong. They don't get it."

In Mphandula, the dusty, thatched-roof town where the orphan-care center is to be built, villagers look blank when shown a picture of one of the most famous women in the world. Since this is a place where people can afford to eat meat or wear shoes only on very special occasions, a place with no electricity or piped water, her anonymity is not surprising. But when the name Madonna is mentioned, they have heard of her: she's the woman who's building the center for their children. And they have no use for cynicism. "The orphanage project is about serving humanity," says the head man of the village. "It will mean so much to us. We can only ask God to bless this person for her kindness."

De rien, je l'ai trouvé sur le site de Time : Madonna finds a cause. Par contre, le texte que j'avais (cf ci-dessus) était allégé de plusieurs phrases et paragraphes par rapport au texte original de Time.

alors ça y est je suis passé ce matin. alors je suis tombé sur un sujet sur l'interdiction de vendre des cigarettes au moins de 18ans en Angleterre. jury composé de deux femmes, sympatiques, beaucoup de questions où l'on me demandait mon avis personnel!!voilà.

alors sujet sur le fait d'enseigner les mathématiques par la musique

une jury sympa ka presque pas pu parler car l'autre ma bassiner pdt 5 minutes avec la question : en quoi la musique permet a l enfant de mieux comprendre les maths?

a la fin elle m'a sorti la réponse k'el attendait, que je n'ai absolument pas trouvé : sur les partitions faut compter les notes donc c le lien avec les maths!

Bon bah voilà, j'ai passé l'anglais et It was horrible !!!

Je suis tombée sur un texte sur le lien entre la musique et les mathématiques !! Je me suis embourbée lamentablement, même en français je n'aurai pas su quoi dire...

En tout cas les deux femmes du jury étaient sympas, elles parlaient lentement, donc bien compréhensibles et essayaient de m'aider .. mais j'ai été trop naze!!

Même sujet sur les mathématiques et la musique.C'est vrai que c'était assez bizarre!J'ai essayé de me défendre du mieux que j'ai pu!Jury sympa.Pas évident!!Enfin on verra!Un peu décue.

le texte sur les maths, texte britannique ou américain?

ça y'es moi aussi je suis passée cette aprem sur la relation mathématiques et musique. les questions n'étais pas trop dur. à Par une question qui me demandait d'expliquer une phrase. La phrase que je n'ai pas compris. Donc je leur ai dis franchement. Sinon sympa le jury, avec une qui paraissait plus sévère...

C'est bon je suis passé! Je suis tombé sur la culture des plantes épiphytes au zimbabwe donc un sujet assez facile. J'ai bien sûr dit qu'elle est caractérisée par la stratification veticale.

Voila rien de très dur en somme même s'il fallait faire attention aux choix des mots du fait que le jury était composé pour une moitié d'un séquoia probablement spécialiste en la matière.

Ca m'intéresse, le séquoia a beaucoup de conversation?!

Je pense que dans ce sujet, il ne fallait pas négliger la reproduction par marcottage du genévrier...sous réserve de maîtriser les aspects photosynthétiques.
