Euh, if I can suggest something, I'd say "it's the reason why I want to be a teacher" instead of "it is for that I want to be a teacher", no ? (just a detail in fact)

It seems better yes, thank! :)

Ok, I'm going to think about it...

And, I just wanted to propose another topic too : hunting  , because Patinette had this subject, and it really doesn't inspire me ! :ninja:

Teacher is polyvalent ... (don't we say "versatile"?)

It means first that he teaches all subjects: french, maths...english!

But, above all, it means that he (or she!) is able bridgind the gap between these different subjects, in order to help children in giving sense to learnings. Indeed, if, on one hand, he isn't a specialist in a particular subject, he is, on the other hand, a specialist of their links.

So, this is a fundamental aspect of the job, as it is the way, for teacher, of making children conscious that learnings are all connected in "real" life

(I'm not sure of this expression "make conscious of" or "make aware of"... can someone confirm?)

hunting ?

It seems to be a sport for some people. For another, it is disturbing because it prevents them walking in the forest in automn or spring... And sometime there are some accident and some people are killed by hunters...

Moreover, is it not dangerous to have weapons at home where, perhaps, there are children ? How many accidents there are with weapons every year ?

In France, hunters need permit to hunt but in some states in US, everybody have the possibility to bring weapon with them to go in the supermarket for exemple.... What do you think about college tragedy because of guns...

In Great Bretain it is forbidden for people to have got weapon at home...

Hunter had been the first activity for man, with picking... but now there are much more people on Earth and this activity can become dangerous...

Yes, but isn't there anything special with hunting in UK? (I mean "chasse à courre")

Aren't there any knowledges to have about this traditionnal practice? (I'd rather not...)

I think also that we must say that the french teacher is VERSATILE (but i am not very good in english, if someone can say ...)

The versatile teacher can do link between leasons, that can help childrens, in fact childrens, that have difficulty, can't make links between leasons

and i think it is an avantage that the teacher is versatile because this teacher has many viewpoints of the childrens, while a mathematic teacher can think that the child X is good or not in mathematic, the versatile teacher think for example this child has difficulty in mathematics but he is good in english

polyvalent : for chimics and medecine

rôle polyvalent : varied

personne polyvalente : versatile

enseignement polyvalent : comprehensive education.

A little complicated to use this word, isn't it ?

I tried to correct mistakes above...

to be conscious of the importance of something : avoir conscience de ...

to become aware of something : prendre conscience de quelque chose

Thank you Leau!

But, for "aware", my dictionary says "to be aware" and not "to become aware" (se rendre compte, être conscient)

But it doesn't matter, that mustn't be the more important...

Euh, and for "to help children become aware...", don't we say "to help children becoming ..."???

I don't remember the rule for Vb-ing, but I feel it sounds better, no? :P

My knoledge about this kind of hunting is limited :

hunters are riders.

They bring rifle and horn.

Dogs run in front of riders.

They can hunt foxes, deers or boars.

I suppose, only rich people practise this hunting.

that's all !

Ok, thanks.

I really don't want to fall (?) on this (very uninteresting) subject...

Another idea for a topic ?

It depends... that's quite right, but in France , when a hunting club knows the owner of a big domain where there is this type of hunting, they could be invited ;)

Still, I think that is what my father said me one time (he practises hunting :( )
