bébètcoco Posté(e) 24 juin 2006 Posté(e) 24 juin 2006 thanks to Leau and Blabliblo for this help...In fact, you're right, these words aren't very difficult...I may have foud them in "normal time"...But sometimes, my stress is so present that I'm unable to reflect... As for my dictionnary, it's probably older than me... Thanks a lot...
blabliblo Posté(e) 24 juin 2006 Posté(e) 24 juin 2006 Another topic : What is the difference between a country land and a town ? (I think it is a excellent exercise to use vocabulary)
sarah leroux Posté(e) 24 juin 2006 Posté(e) 24 juin 2006 In my opinion, a town is as a city whereas a country land is "campaign" (I don't know if it's the good word)

sarah leroux Posté(e) 24 juin 2006 Posté(e) 24 juin 2006 I was searching for an idea for discussion, and I came accross a text of the Cned book, on whitch I didn't find many extension to talk about... It is untitled "Homes boom needed to reverse price inflation" and extract from the weekly telegraph (issue n° 647). To sum up, it deals with the fact that there's a shortage in housing in Britain and that it cause record house prices. There's a huge demand for houses by divorcees, children who left home and immigrants. Furthermore, more houses are needed because houses previously built are not of a high enough quality. However, building more houses destroys countryside and takes a considerable amount of planing. So, what would you say about that ?? (I think it can be formative to train on subjects that don't inspire at the beginning... no? )
sarah leroux Posté(e) 24 juin 2006 Posté(e) 24 juin 2006 oh sorry ! I was writing when you sent your message... I'm going to think about it and I'll answer later...

However, building more houses destroys countryside and takes a considerable amount of planing. So, what would you say about that ?? (I think it can be formative to train on subjects that don't inspire at the beginning... no? ) I like to walk in the countryside, I can see trees, flowers, grasses, cultures, animals, river, etc. All that is very beautiful and this landcape is necessary for me to think, to dream, to escape noises and pollution.... I prefer to listen birds than cars or lownmowers. So Is it possible to renovate or to rebuilt houses rather than built news houses (so news towns) ? I don't know. Sometimes it is too expensive to modernize a building so, builders prefer to built new one . In France we have the same problem, the price of houses had increase a lot of and to buy a house or a flat is very difficult if you aren't very rich.... So people prefer to built. And there isn't building to find to live. In France a law wants that each district builts houses or flats to welcome poor families who are the compulsory to live in home without confort, electricity or water... so the towns grow and eat campaign ...
sarah leroux Posté(e) 24 juin 2006 Posté(e) 24 juin 2006 Thank you Blabliblo... I said nearly the same things, but I wasn't aware of this law... About city/campaign, I admit that my brain is steaming, so I'll answer tomorrow... (but I already see that we have the same opinion about it... god save flowers, forest and birds ! :P ) Good evening...
blabliblo Posté(e) 24 juin 2006 Posté(e) 24 juin 2006 ok every body, see you tomorrow... i am tired and hungry. ( not angry) New topic for tomorrow : the shortage of water .... bye
sarah leroux Posté(e) 25 juin 2006 Posté(e) 25 juin 2006 So, about campaigns and cities... In my opinion, campaign means natural and real life and city means civilised and artificial life... I've been living in Rennes city for 4 years and I hated ! Well, all the same, I enjoyed meeting friends in the center and having an aperitif, I enjoyed going concerts with them, etc. BUT, there awasn't SEE! Neither beautiful walking to do... This year, I've come back to Vannes (South of Morbihan), and I revive ! Ouf, air bowl ! For me, campaign is a question of vital stability. And next year, as I said yesterday, I'll must have (?) a garden, because I need this contact with nature, which reminds you that there's another life that your's, that your problems are little things compared with all this world seething around: ants, butterflies, crickets, flowers, all plants that permit you to keep in good health such as mint, melisse (?), sage... Roll on the next year !!!
sarah leroux Posté(e) 25 juin 2006 Posté(e) 25 juin 2006 The shortage of water... What a shit ! oh sorry... :P No, seriously, I'm afraid of seeing some people who waste water as if it was inexhaustible... For example, those who wash their car with hundreds of litres, just for it be cover of bird droppings a few hours later! Or those who spray their garden with automatical spraying at 2 o'clock PM!!!! And there are others... I really think that we have to be very careful with that : cut the water when we schampoo (??), when we brush our teeth, when we wash up, etc. Or, put a cover on the saucepan when we boil water... And in my opinion, we really have an important part to play with children as teachers (oh yes we'll be!! )
