Anja Posté(e) 25 juin 2006 Posté(e) 25 juin 2006 I agree with you: a child should take a breakfast before going to school. Why some of them don't do it? I think some of the parents don't realize, how it's important for them. They may be don't eat in the morning (the parents) and have no idea about dietetic. Children have may be no time to have a properly meal because they not awake early enough.
Anja Posté(e) 25 juin 2006 Posté(e) 25 juin 2006 The role of the teacher is huge. On one side he has to direct and help the children to learn, to participate in discussions, to grow, to be able to take the initiative. On the other side he should show autority and firmness in the class to have a good possibility to work quietly.

Children have may be no time to have a properly meal because they not awake early enough. For this reason, it is important that school can discuss with parents to explain the important of good balanced meal. Perhaps, they can take more time on the morning to prepare breafast for their chidren. If a child doesn't eat on the morning, he can't work properly at school. AnD if a child eat too rich meal he can became fat and have diseases because of his obesity. And because he is fat, his friendschool smile of him so he doesn't be happy, he doesn't run properly like his mates. Parents must to think about how their children live their obesity ?
sarah leroux Posté(e) 25 juin 2006 Posté(e) 25 juin 2006 Some corrections: some parents, not "some of the parents" maybe they don't eat, not "they may be don't eat" (idem for "children have may be no time") they don't wake up, not "they not awake" But I agree with you... I began a message to moan against the fact that schools gave milk to children, but it bugged (?)... To sum up, milk isn't good for health, unless everyone think the contrary... The role of a teacher Vast subject! Prepare the lessons (with all it implies!), give good instructions in order to pupils understand them and feel like doing the task, guide pupils in their reflection (?), manage behaviors to permit to work in calm, find out remediations when some are stuck on a problem Make think pupils on respect, tolerance, rules... Have ideas of project, outings interesting to learn the life... "Work in team" with other teachers... Communicate with parents to permit a good integration of all pupils... ... So vast!!! And my brain begin to steam !
sarah leroux Posté(e) 25 juin 2006 Posté(e) 25 juin 2006 some corrections: he can become, not "he can became" he isn't happy, not "he doesn't be happy" Must think, not "must to think" I think your brains are steaming too, no ? :P
sarah leroux Posté(e) 25 juin 2006 Posté(e) 25 juin 2006 and correction on my own production: it wasn't "unless everyone think the contrary", but "although everyone..."

To sum up, milk isn't good for health, unless everyone think the contrary... Euh ..... Calcium ? The role of a teacher Vast subject! Prepare the lessons (with all it implies!), give good instructions in order to pupils understand them and feel like doing the task, guide pupils in their reflection (?) or research , manage behaviors to permit to work in calm (authority ? ), find out remediations when some are stuck on a problem (evaluate ?) Make think pupils on respect, tolerance, rules... live together and civic education Have ideas of project, outings interesting to learn the life... "Work in team" with other teachers... Communicate with parents to permit a good integration of all pupils... Teach all disciplines of the primary school by respecting the Education National instruction. ... sarah leroux Posté(e) 25 juin 2006 Posté(e) 25 juin 2006 By "bugged", i wanted to say that there had been a bug ! :P For milk, it's right that calcium is important, but above all for babies and very young children... after, it develops "mucosités" (the word in english ?) and "attacks" the liver (foie), so you have spots and you cough ! For remediations, I didn't think of evaluations, but more of exchanges likely to "destuck" pupils... I'd like to continue the discussion, but I have to leave... So, good luck for the rest, and thank you for these exchanges ! Bye
